Running Sabnzb / SickBeard / Htpc as a Service on Windows

First you need to install the Windows Resource Kit from MS…etc..

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17657

Then once installed, you need to run this command to create your 'New Service' from the Tools folder of the Windows Resource kit.

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\instsrv.exe SABnzbd “C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\srvany.exe”
  • The command mentioned above will create a New Service called SABnzbd, now you need to add the parameters for this new service.

You can download the registry from this txt file.

Same thing for SickBeard and HTPC interface.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\instsrv.exe SickBeard “C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\srvany.exe”
